Mr. Bradley Silver’s responsibilities cover international copyright protection, enforcement and policy issues. Mr. Silver provides advice to the company and its various divisions on a broad range of matters, including copyright treaties, legislation, and industry initiatives affecting Time Warner’s copyright interests.
Prior to his current position with Time Warner, Bradley Silver was an associate at Kirkland & Ellis, where he focused on intellectual property in corporate transactions. While there Mr. Silver served as pro bono counsel to IPA for two years, and was instrumental in helping American illustrators achieve representation at IFRRO by gaining an associate membership. Mr. Silver also worked on the specifics of the Reprographic Authorization & Agreement in accordance with international principles.
Dr. Michael Shapiro, Esq.

Dr. Shapiro is an attorney specializing in domestic and international copyright issues. The former General Counsel of the National Endowment for the Humanities, Dr. Shapiro currently serves as Attorney-Advisor, Office of International and Legislative Affairs, United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Prior to joining the USPTO, Dr. Shapiro was in private practice, counseling a diverse clientele in the commercial and nonprofit sectors. With Bruce A. Lehman, Dr. Shapiro helped to launch the International Intellectual Property Institute (IIPI) and served as its first General Counsel. Within the IIPI, Dr. Shapiro directed the “World Museums and Economic Development” project. The resource materials resulting from the project are available on the website of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Dr. Shapiro was instrumental in the founding of Illustrators’ Partnership. Illustrators will always be grateful for his grace, support and guidance.
